HOW TO GET MORE ONLINE MEDIA COVERAGE

Admin • December 20, 2018

In an increasingly saturated digital market, it can be hard for anyone seizing an app developer opportunity and launching their own business to acquire effective and relevant media coverage. Unfortunately, the perfect digital marketing strategy is yet to be invented and while there’s no way of guaranteeing that your brand will be featured by big global media outlets and premium content publishers, there are things you can do to increase the amount of coverage your app company gets online.

Inform, don’t sell

If there’s one thing that every consumer can sense, it’s when they are trying to be sold something. Or worse, when they are being tricked into buying something. When creating content that you’re hoping will be picked up by larger media outlets, it’s important to make it informative and interesting. No one will engage with content that they don’t get anything from.

Be creative

It’s important to make your content creative and interesting but successfully marketing your new app development business comes down to more than quality writing. Try to think outside of the box with your content and its angle. Exciting events don’t happen every day so it’s important to use what you can and put a creative spin on it to keep your output constant and stay relevant.

Self-promotion

You will naturally be proud of your brand or product and want to make consumers aware of your strengths. Use this in your content creation. If you’ve created a unique app or you offer a unique service, be sure to actively promote what sets you apart from competitors to ensure you don’t get drowned out by the masses.

Mutual benefits

Creating mutually beneficial relationships with content creators and media outlets is an ideal way to boost your coverage and get more eyes on your content. The specific details of your relationships will differ between each media brand and will depend on your financial circumstances. It could range from offering free products or trials for bloggers to organising an agreement of mutual promotion.

Keep going

It can often seem impossible to increase your coverage but things like this take time so it’s important to keep at it. Rome wasn’t built in a day and neither is a successful company or marketing campaign. The most important thing is to keep producing content and keep putting your brand out there. If your product is of high quality and your brand is unique, you will find success eventually.
